"High Expectations and Achievement for All"

Welcome to the 2016-2017 school year! We are excited and ready to work together to ensure the learning of all our students. At Baker we believe that students' success at school is the cooperative responsibility of the entire Baker community. We know students can achieve. We expect them to be successful, and we are committed to helping them achieve academic and personal excellence. With the support of our Baker families, our students will be a success.

Reading is always a major area of focus for our students. With a love for reading, we are on our 5th year of the Baker Reading Challenge. Last year Baker students read over 140 million words! We look forward to breaking that record and showing off our work at the Baker Reading Celebration in June.

We are also proud of the focus on technology at Baker. Every classroom will have new Chromebooks to enhance student learning. In 3rd-5th grades, almost every classroom will have 1 to 1 technology with daily access to Chromebooks. Students will integrate technology and understanding to demonstrate the concepts taught in the subject areas.

It will be an exciting year and we look forward to watching our students learn, achieve and succeed!
